Salary £17,173 pro rata Full-time (all year round 35 hours per week) permanent post

Pioneer House High School, part of the Prospere Learning Trust is a school for pupils aged 11 – 19 years with severe learning difficulties.  This rapidly developing, innovative school will offer the post holders ample opportunities for skill development and progression.
 
We are looking to appoint a full time Caretaker to work under the direction of the Lead Caretaker and the senior leadership team within the school.  You will be required to assist in the provision of maintenance and security services on the school premises and site.  You will undertake and maintain the cleanliness and physical appearance of the building and the grounds.  In the absence of the lead caretaker you will manage cleaning and ensure this is done in accordance with specification.  You will be a responsible Key holder and ensure security of the premises, grounds and its contents including monitoring CCTV where appropriate.
 
You will be joining a committed and supportive team which can offer the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills through training and support.  The successful candidate may be asked to work across schools within the Trust.
Candidates will be shortlisted against the person specification for the post.  We would expect you to have good literacy and numeracy skills.  Caretaking/site-keeping experience in a school or similar environment and knowledge of Health & Safety and hygiene procedures and precautions is desirable.
