Pioneer House is really excited to be working in partnership with The Manchester United Foundation to further develop our enrichment offer for students and we have welcomed SEND officer Danny Livesey to our staff team.

Danny has been working with students to develop their confidence and resilience through engagement in sport and has also been working with students on their engagement in learning. Already, Danny has supported our students to access a range of opportunities within the local community such as a recent trip to Old Trafford football ground to explore some of the career options available with the football club. We are really looking forward to the added value he will bring to our Personal Development offer over the next three years.  Here is what Danny has to say ……

“I am very excited about the partnership with Pioneer House and feel it will have a really positive effect on the young people we are working with. In the last term, although short, we have made some giant strides in participation and confidence in sport especially with the female students.  We have recently had a mixed foundation schools’ tournament at one of Manchester United’s training grounds that was a huge success and gave the students a chance to meet people from other schools and form new friendships.

Everyone at Pioneer House has been extremely welcoming and helpful. It is a pleasure to work with both staff and students.”
